Job Summary:

Diversified position providing administrative, database, and email marketing support to a dynamic team of fundraising and communications professionals. Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ is gearing up to celebrate 100 years, and you’ll be an integral part of our Centennial project planning and execution. Pleasant self-starter with a broad range of skills will interface with all departments and levels of personnel in Federation, our foundation partner, Jewish Community Foundation (JCF), and community, including donors and volunteers. Capable of working independently with the ability to establish procedures to monitor own job activities and regulate tasks. Must possess the ability to adapt to change in priorities during the business day and handle multiple assignments. Professional demeanor, dependability, confidentiality, detail-orientation, and flexibility are attributes in this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Provide administrative support to individual professionals and team members
  • Handle multiple functions within unique data base (BBEC) including researching donors/financial information, building and exporting lists/reports, data input
  • Develop strong working relationship and liaise directly with IT to facilitate requests for database reports
  • Perform marketing email creation, from list selection to deployment in Mailchimp
  • Assist with meetings and events (scheduling, booking meeting spaces/rooms, preparation, reminders, follow-up); willingness to support events (virtual and in person) in the evenings and weekends on a periodic basis
  • Create/manage/maintain complex Excel spreadsheets
  • Edit/update PDF documents
  • Create/manage mail merges for mass mailings
  • Organize and maintain uniformity of digital documents/folders
  • Editorial support to help find and fix typos and other errors
  • Assist in maintaining team’s timely workflows in digital project management platform (Basecamp)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in Office software programs, including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe design
  • Experience with database and email marketing platforms/functionality
  • Knowledge of Zoom including serving as meeting host, sharing screen, and other basic/advanced functions
  • Excellent telephone manner and good command of the English language
  • High level of attention to detail and high level of accuracy of work
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to interface with every level of personnel
  • Maintain a good attitude in a busy atmosphere
  • Adaptable to changing priorities during the business day
  • Diligent in follow up
