Professor Dennis B. Klein, Kean University Professor of
History and director of the Jewish Studies Program and the
Master of Arts in Holocaust and Genocide Studies, will
address three compelling and serious issues with wit, style
and, yes, a bit of humor, too. The author or editor of five
books, Dennis is founding editor in chief of Dimensions: A
Journal of Holocaust Studies and founding director of the
Anti-Defamation League’s Braun Center for Holocaust Studies.

The Refugee Crisis and the Jewish Response
Monday, May 22 at 7:30 p.m.
Compassion for the stranger is an evocative theme in Jewish tradition yet, at the same
time, self-protection from real or potential danger demands vigilant, if not prior,
attention. Are we better or worse Jews for welcoming refugees from assault into our
neighborhoods?
