The Young Women’s Mission to Israel earlier this month was, once again, an inspiring and enlightening experience for the 15 women who attended. They got to see first-hand their UJA dollars at work and all now have a much deeper connection to our family in Israel.
Highlights of the trip included visits to our partnerships in Arad, Ofakim, and Gush Etzion where they met people whose lives are touched by Greater MetroWest; watching the opening ceremony of the Maccabiah Games; cooking and baking workshops; visits to Independence Hall in Tel Aviv and other important sites; rappelling off the Ramon Crater; hearing from incredible people including IDF female fighters and the director of the trauma unit at Shaare Zedek Medical Center; and so much more. The mission co-chairs were Caroline Goldstein, Lisa Kaplan, and Sheryl Pearlstein.
We are currently planning our biggest Israel mission ever – the Greater MetroWest commUNITY Mission to Israel – scheduled for October 2018. Click here to find out more.
