Professionals Gather at Bloomingdales to Discuss Retail Landscape

On November 7, about 80 members of Federation’s Business & Professionals Network (BPN) gathered at Bloomingdale’s in the Mall at Short Hills for its inaugural event: The Business of Bloomingdale’s.

Attendees networked over cocktails and light bites before a moderated Q&A discussion with corporate chairman and CEO Tony Spring, led by Rachel Scherl. Spring provided informative and eye-opening insights into the current retail landscape and the future of the industry. “Retail isn’t what it used to be,” he said. “We’re living in a transformative time. If we want to be successful in the future, we need to transform with it.” What’s his formula for staying ahead of the curve? “I’m a big believer in curiosity!”

The evening also included a special reception Meet & Greet with Tony Spring for donors who give a combined household gift of $1,800 or more to the 2020 UJA Annual Campaign.
