On Sunday, September 22, we hosted our 2nd annual Tour de Summer Camps NJ, a community-wide cycling event and Family Fun Day in support of Jewish camp. The event, led by co-chairs Gary DeBode, Susan Ratner, Eric Sellinger, and Jon Ulanet, and a committee of more than 30 community members, took place on the campus of the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown. It was a warm, sunny day, perfect for the three beautiful cycling routes, camp activities, and Rick Recht concert!
More than 600 cyclists, volunteers, and Family Fun Day participants, including a delegation of 12 riders from Israel, made this day a special one. We raised more than $436,000 to help provide One Happy Camper incentive grants and need-based scholarships to send kids to Jewish summer camp.
