Shorashim – Providing the Roots that Grow our Community

The Jewish Community Foundation (JCF) recently hosted its biennial Shorashim (meaning roots) event, honoring donors who have made legacy or endowment gifts through JCF’s legacy societies: Lester, Lion of Judah Endowment, MetroWest Tomorrow, Herskowitz, and Create a Jewish Legacy.

Held at the Wilshire Grand in West Orange, it was a warm, inspiring, and meaningful event, capped by a thought-provoking address by Rabbi Daniel Cohen, author of What Will They Say When You are Gone? Creating a Life of Legacy. Guests took home a copy of the book as well as a box of the brand-new Centennial Campaign “EndowMINTS,” both gifts from JCF to thank donors for their generosity and foresight.

Event co-chairs were Laura & Aaron Cohen, Barbara Drench, Rebecca Gold, Carol & Harris Nydick, Jamie & Jonathan Ramsfelder, and Sharon & Jimmy Schwarz.
